Appliance Repair Technician

A day on the job

• Start at our base each morning and load into a stocked company van
• Run a route of residential service calls across Greater Boston, refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, disposals, ice makers
• Walk every customer through what's broken, what it costs to fix, and what the alternative is
• Do the work, then document the job with clear notes and photos

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair major home appliances on-site
• Walk every customer through findings, repair options, and pricing before turning a wrench
• Coordinate parts and follow-up appointments with dispatch
• Document each job with clear notes and photos through our dispatch system
• Keep your assigned company van clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Mentor trainees on ride-alongs as your tenure grows

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of hands-on appliance repair experience
• Comfortable with full-line diagnostics across refrigeration, laundry, cooking, and dishwashers
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces, kitchens, laundry closets, basements
• Comfortable using a phone/tablet for scheduling, invoicing, and job notes
• You'll be in customers' homes daily, you take that seriously

Nice to have

• Sealed-systems skills (this puts you at the top of the pay range)
• EPA 608 certification
• Experience with high-end / built-in brands (Sub-Zero, Wolf, Miele, Viking, Thermador)
• Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese, many customers prefer it
